Wales Book of Year 2012

Great news. I've just heard that I'm chair of the Wales Book of Year Award (English language) for 2012. The Panel includes Trezza Azzopardi and Sam Adams.

We'll be looking at three categories of books - fiction, poetry and non-fiction. I've already got a a stack of books on my coffee table, a double edged sword perhaps, but I have to say that I'm looking forward to it.

Great Writing 2008 Conference

I attended a useful conference at Bangor University, Great Writing 2008. There were some very interesting papers, and some great discussions later in the evening once the bar was open!

I presented a paper entitled, Supporting Student Creativity Through Technology.
